Bringing Helsinki and Berlin closer together (2015-02-27)

Specialists and policymakers agree: the new SCANDRIA INTERREG projects of the Berlin-Brandenburg Joint Spatial Planning Department and the Helsinki-Uusimaa Region are vital building blocks for further economic growth in the Baltic Sea Region. In the 4th issue of Harbours Review, experts from the German and Finnish capital regions outline the plans for future cross-border freight and transport routes in Europe. The mayors of Helsinki and Berlin concur that imporved accessibility can and must be a driving force in the future as well, so that the BaltMet member cities can achieve their common goals: more growth, more innovation, and even more interaction within the Baltic Sea Region.
